Verdict

What heyGF does

heyGF (HeyGF.ai) is built around one idea: your AI girlfriend sends you things. Besides chatting, she replies with photos, short videos and voice notes when you ask for them. Everything is in a realistic style, and the whole service runs in the browser.

Per the official homepage, pricing page and Terms (checked 2 Nov 2026):

• Chat with memory — free at a basic level, unlimited on paid plans.
• On-request photos and videos, including NSFW on paid plans.
• Voice notes from your girlfriend.
• Character creator to design your own girlfriend.

Not confirmed: voice or video calls, group chats and interface languages other than English. Chinese is not offered.

Character catalogue

heyGF does not publish a character count. It offers a set of ready-made realistic girlfriends plus a character creator for your own. The roster is women only: there is no AI boyfriend option, no anime style and no male, gay or trans characters. If you want those, look at AI boyfriend apps or gay AI chat.

One perk to note: per the pricing page, annual plans also unlock each girl's full photo gallery, not just the pictures you request in chat.

Is heyGF free?

Partly. Basic conversations are free and you do not need a credit card to start. What is not free: custom photos, videos and anything NSFW. So the free tier is a way to see whether you like how a girlfriend writes, not a way to get media. If you want more free content, compare free AI girlfriend apps.

heyGF pricing

heyGF is one of the few services in our reviews with all monthly prices on a public page. Per the pricing page (checked 2 Nov 2026), monthly billing:

All paid plans include unlimited messages and photos, videos and audio, including NSFW. An "Annual — Save 64%" toggle exists, but the annual prices were not shown when we checked.

Coins: which plan is better value?

Coins pay for media. Dividing the price by the coins: Casual costs about 6.7 cents a coin, Closer about 5.7 cents and Exclusive 5 cents. So the bigger plans are cheaper per coin, but only if you use the coins. heyGF does not publish how many coins one photo or one video costs, so we cannot tell you how many pictures 150 coins buys. One-time coin packs are also available per the Terms.

A practical approach: start on Casual for a month, see how fast the 150 coins go, then decide. Upgrading is easier than getting money back.

Monthly or annual?

The pricing page has an annual toggle advertising a 64% saving, and annual plans unlock each girl's full photo gallery on top of your coins. The annual prices themselves were not displayed when we checked, so we cannot tell you the yearly total. If the gallery matters to you, switch the toggle on the pricing page and compare the yearly charge with twelve months of your plan before choosing. If you are not sure you will stay, a single month of Casual is the low-risk way in.

What heyGF does not publish

• Coins per photo, per video and per voice note.
• Annual prices for the three plans.
• The exact list of payment methods, and whether crypto is accepted.
• Whether voice or video calls are offered.

Everything else above comes from heyGF's public pages, which are among the clearer ones in this market.

How to start

1. Open heygf.ai in your browser — there is nothing to install.
2. Confirm you are 18+ and create a free account (no card).
3. Pick a ready-made girlfriend or design your own.
4. Chat for free; when you want photos, videos or NSFW, choose a plan.
5. Note how many coins each request uses during your first month.

Is heyGF safe?

• Company: Y2A LLC, United States, with Delaware governing law in the Terms.
• Privacy: per the FAQ, conversations are encrypted and chat history is never shared or sold. The site says you have full control over your data.
• Bank statement: charges do not mention "AI girlfriend" and are processed under neutral merchant names.
• Payment: the site says it accepts all major payment methods but does not list them; crypto is not confirmed.
• Age gate: 18+.
• App: none — browser only, which means no app-store record on your phone.

The encryption and data claims are heyGF's own; no independent audit is published. Use a separate email and keep personal details out of the chat. More: is an AI girlfriend safe? Adults only; follow the law where you live.

heyGF app

There is no heyGF app in the App Store or Google Play. The FAQ says the service is fully browser-based. On a phone, open the site and add it to your home screen if you want an app-like icon. For services that do have store apps, see AI girlfriend apps.

heyGF compared with similar apps

heyGF's closest rivals are realistic AI girlfriend apps such as Candy AI and Secrets AI. Where heyGF stands out is price transparency: three monthly plans with coin allowances, all on a public page. Where it falls behind: no anime, no boyfriends, and NSFW only on paid plans. Candy AI is cheaper on a 12-month plan ($47.88) and covers more character types; Secrets AI adds mini-drama videos but lists only an annual plan.

Who heyGF is for

heyGF suits someone who wants a realistic girlfriend that sends pictures and voice notes, and who prefers clear monthly prices to opaque checkout offers. It is not for anime fans, people looking for AI boyfriends, or anyone who wants NSFW chat for free.

Alternatives to heyGF

Candy AI also does realistic girlfriends with images, voice and video, plus anime and male characters, on a cheaper 12-month plan. Secrets AI adds interactive mini-dramas. DarLink lets you build a girlfriend and generate photos and short videos.
